Iran national science foundation has published a special call known as “corona fight” to support studies on the fight against the disease with a higher speed.

Projects will be received and registration will be started in May, and researchers can send their projects until the end of June. The foundation will carry out this act in line with its responsibility and mission to select projects on the prevention, treatment and dealing of corona with individual, social, cultural and economic outcomes of corona disease.

Today, the call is prioritized by the foundation and all of the related working groups are active to support research projects.

Research projects, postdoctoral courses, and doctoral dissertations are supported by special arrangements. In order to accelerate and make these supports more effective, some special conditions and facilities have been considered in this call.

In this regard, the possibility to extend the existing postdoctoral fellowship for the second year or apply for a second postdoctoral fellowship if the subject of the research is related to the call, the possibility of having support up to 600 million Rials for research projects related to the subject of the call, possibility of having support up to 1 billion Rials for group research projects (between at least two universities or research centers) interdisciplinary and international (with the active participation of international colleagues) related to the subject of the call and the possibility of special support facilities for doctoral dissertations are some of these facilities.
